Knowledge isn’t defined to books — and yet too often do traditional universities deem it a literary affair, with all information stuffed inside pages and all statistics offered in ink. The intention is to provide an education through easy materials; and students are encouraged therefore to simply read.
This does not always offer the necessary retention, however. Details may be forgotten; facts may be lost. It becomes a challenge to recall what was merely memorized.

Assignments are represented on screens, which enables words to be shaded to different colors and textures (as well as generating three-dimensional charts for mathematical elements). And participation in forums, chat rooms and other social networks ensures that all thoughts are channeled into both written and oral forms.
This is vital to understanding — and remembering — data. Students who wish to gain an education online can discover a wealth of techniques. These provide increased chances of retention (often doubling an individual’s ability to recognize facts and use them at later dates). Information can be mastered instead of merely being repeated.
An online university provides advantages that its brick and mortar counter-parts can’t. And the ingenious use of multiple materials is such an advantage — and often touted as the most important one. This ensures that knowledge isn’t simply learned for short periods of time, forgotten then once an exam is over. Instead it can be fully understood.
